The international break provides an opportunity to take stock of the multinational melting pot that is the Premier League, and late last week we presented snapshots of the number of international players by club, and a breakdown of the 60 nations represented by full internationals in the Premier League so far this season.

Today, sportingintelligence looks at some individual club case studies, including Manchester City here; they have used 18 different players from nine different nations as starters in League games so far this season.

The most common nationality of Manchester City starting players so far by a long way has been English (seven, all full internationals), followed by Argentinean (two, both internationals), Ivorian (ditto) and Belgian (two, one international).

Chelsea have the highest percentage of full international among all the players used so far, 19 of 20 players used, or 95 per cent.
