The 2015 edition of this website’s annual review of sports salaries (GSSS 2015) will be published later this month. Information on last year’s report and a free PDF copy of the 2014 report can be downloaded at our global salaries microsite here. Information about the previous five studies are at the following links:

2014 Report       2013 Report       2012 Report       2011 Report      2010 Report

This year’s 120-page report is the largest to date, ranking average first-team pay at 333 clubs in 17 leagues across seven sports in 13 countries, and delving behind the headline numbers to see how wealth, success and popularity interact.

In addition to the main list, the report carries league-by-league analysis, an examination of the credentials of 25 teams to be called ‘Super Clubs’, and two exclusive new pieces of original research into the nationalities of the footballers playing in Europe’s Big 5 leagues, and the ‘origins’ of the sportsmen currently working in America’s ‘Big 4′ sports, by state, college or country.

Those pieces also examine what relation, if any, these origins have on the differing levels of pay that different groups of players receive.

The GSSS 2015 will be available in full, free, upon publication. Sportingintelligence is also happy to make the report available for any newspapers, broadcasters or websites who want to make it available in full as a PDF download for their own readers and viewers, upon publication.
